After the Christchurch earthquake, Room 8, along with the rest of the school joined the whole of New Zealand in remembering and thinking about people who were effected by the earth quake. Everyone wore red, black and white. the children also made a banner to put up in the hall at assembly. It said: "We are thinking about the people of Christchurch today and wishing them well"

The L.I.C. is also open during lunchtimes.
